The congregation of St. Paul’s Church in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania, a parish in the Diocese of Central PA, prayerfully seeks a full-time rector with a strong will for working, a solid background in scripture and traditional liturgies, and the desire to experience all that a beautiful town can offer.  Fringe benefits will include complete health care, housing allowance, discretionary fund, professional allowance, continuing education, three weeks vacation and other negotiable items.

Tioga County, home of the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon, offers abundant recreational opportunities including bicycling, golf, fishing, hunting and boating.  A 62-mile-long rail to trails bicycle path winds its way through the Pine Creek Valley, and the 1% grade offers an easy ride or walk for all.  The Deane Center for the performing arts offers a continuous venue of entertainment to all generations.

Our congregation has an appreciation of a variety of liturgical traditions, and will not be resistive to changes that will bring others through our doors to the Word of God and the Real Presence of Jesus.  Our handsome stone church, built in 1897, is an architectural masterpiece.  Lovingly maintained and currently on a solid financial footing, St. Paul’s even has a new roof!

The new rector will become a member of the Wellsboro Ministerium and together with many other denominations share in the Love of Christ through various means throughout the Wellsboro community.  The rector will also be appointed to serve on the board of directors of two prestigious foundations noted for their philanthropic work in Tioga County.

Wellsboro has a long established up-to-date hospital and cancer care treatment facility which is a part of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and the Susquehanna Health System.
